Polaroid

Shadows on the wall
in between light splashes
Shadows stretch and flicker
one two Three, one Two three, One two...
Count them
Step between to the worlds of light beyond
do shadows flicker black or white
are the light splashes black
Does a little girl watch white to black and something in between
See me

Oh by the by, I've just noticed that these posts are being marked as if I were posting at three AM. Sorry to disappoint, I may be a bit crazy, as we all are, but I'm not insane. I'm posting at one PM in Israel. I just didn't update my location. :) I hope that helps.

Wars in heaven and space

"Fire and brimstone"said the one
"Peace and serenity" said the other
And caught in between were the silent ones
And caught in between were the scoffers
And caught in between were the incredulous ones
And caught in between were the snorers
And caught in between was you
And caught in between was I

The walls of the room danced closer and closer
the yells increased, the sing song more pronounced
Fire-Peace
Brimstone-Serenity
And it becomes a beat behind your eyes
And all I could see was a blank brick wall
And the scoffers snickered
And the incredulous sighed
And the silent's eyes bounced back to the walls and down
Noticing the encroaching walls
To busy to care
And caught in between was you
And caught in between was I

And the snores increased
And you back bent to cradle your aching eyes
and I stared blank
stuck in our seats
As the great wars in heaven flew above our heads
And caught in between was you
And caught in between was I

To fend off the walls you join a camp
To fend off the walls I wield a pen
as the clock Ticks
the fire Licks by
the dead peace Beckons sickly
And caught i between was you
And caught in between was I
Until we said Enough!

Years

So it's been how long? Long enough to almost forget about this blog's existence but thanks to blogger and my creation of a new blog I remembered. The truth is that sad as though it may be I have not been writing as consistently or as much in these past two years. Therefore even if I had remembered I would have nothing to show for that past time, well not really. It's a good thing then that I've started writing once more because I actually do have a poem to share,or two, or three,hmmm....

"A drop of honey will not sweeten the ocean"

The world is full of much
It comes to kiss your hand
slap you in the face
all we can do is keep on buzzing

Tell me true
what is a drop of honey to you?
A Drop of care
A Drop of hope
A Drop of what?
tell me, why do we keep on buzzing?

The world tosses and turns you
on an updraft
a tempest
spinning so you lose sight of your Flower patch

Do you fold your wings
plummet to the unyielding ground?
Do you struggle against the wind
and all you go is backward

Do you dance with excitement
before your brothers?
or is all at the end of a long day
a mournful hum?

Tell me true
what is a drop of honey to you?
That which is hard earned
That which comes easy
A drop of what?
tell me, why do we keep on buzzing?

A Drop of honey may not sweeten the ocean
but a drop from each's hand will surely make it sickly sweet
A Drop of honey may not sweeten the ocean
but it sure does sweeten you

my goodness it has been a long time. Yes i have been negligent, but nobody can be perfect, can they? So let us see, poetry, hmmm.....

He walked with a child's hand in his
grass waved in fare well as they pass
bent slightly with a pocketed hand
a smile played sweet melodies across his face

He finds a stump to take his rest
as little one flits from flower to flower
from bank to him
and his bones creek as he sits and smiles

He smiles as the child brings over a posy
sweetly giving him a hug and the gift in his hand
thanking the loved one softly
he sadly knows that even though they are so close they are out of his reach

He reaches for a small helping hand
slowly slowly standing up
and on he ambles to the warmth of the hearth
as the child sings happy songs, dancing circles all around him, laughing.

-C.W.

well then. It's not much but it is a poem and i hope you enjoyed. :) bye bye!!

oh it's nice to post fo you again

I'M BACK! but no outerspace has not left me. as the saying goes[ ;) ], "you can take the girl out of 'space, but you can't take 'space out of the girl." It's been windy, and in some places it has snowed in good old southern Cali. Everything has been turned up side down but that's great, a little variety never hurt anyone. Right now thing have returned to normal but i'm still hoping Cali has at last decided to give us a real winter. The operative word is real of course.
i have not been writing any poetry recently, i've been writing stories, but that doesn't mean that i can neglect my blogg-spot you know. So i have dug up an older poem for your pleasure. Enjoy.

Abandoned Soldier

sadly laying on the floor,
it's Creator hath discarded it.
pour little white, crisp soldier
crumpled weeping in it's place.
it bore so many woes and thoughts,
so many rends and so much jostling,
and now it, the most loyal, is cast aside
for a newer cleaner more innocent one.
that one is a new slate,
who's empty rows march by waiting for
a Creator to lovingly fill it's empty heart.
loyally will it carry
all the wishes
all the sorrows deep in it's heart.

but woe is to that soldier.
how it yearns to be picked up,
problems smoothed,
just to be used.
oh Creator can you blame a creation for your error?
a maze of guilt riddles your soldier,
it blames itself you see?
so pick it up, won't you?
lift it out of it's misery, why don't you?

sadly sadly doth it lay,
a little paper crumpled by a poet's hand.

-Crystal Woods
had fun? good. now i can return to writing stories guilt-free. toodles. [ ;) ]

variety is key

yes that's right, sometimes one has to look else were for genius. So I'm posting an anoynomus friends little poem/song. Yes she dose want to be anoynomus. No she did not have a tittle. I really have no idea but it is cute and cathchy so it's on my blogg! I hope you enjoy it to. (Oh and yes i've been neglecting my blogg. This is not because I wanted to but the internet conection was down. )

Yo get with it
yea,yea get with it

so you see what's up
and how to get it down
and you see what's hip
and how to get arround
so come on down
come on down

and get with it
yea,yea get with it

you see that the party's going on right here
oh you see that the music is bumpin', the people are jumpin' and all you gotta do is...

you see that the party's starting up right here
oh you see that the people are laughin', the music is soundin' and all you gotta do is...

get with it
yea, yea get with it

so you know you can move
and how to get into grove
and you know what's smooth
and what is just taboo
so come on down
come on down

and get with it
yea, yea get with it

so you see and you know
and that's how it goes

get with it
just, just get with it

the day is getting' old
and the party's getting' cold
so get on up
get on up

and get with it
yea, yea get with it
yea, yea
get on up
come on down
and get with it.

Oh, by the way, for all those who care, i'm better, thank you.

siiicck! NOOOOOO!!!!

that's right. I'm sick. Not mentally but physically sick. I've got a FEVER! how did this happen? So as I'm not in school(for the first time this year), I figgured somebody ought to enjoy this day. Enjoy it you lucky, lucky people who are NOT sick.I really didn't want to follow the other depressing poem with a depressing post. SO. I'm going to post something random.

Light

Moving so quick,
I cannot see it
But yet it lets me…
See

Oh the colors brought through it
Without it all would be bleak
Science tells us,
It’s the fastest
Can’t be beat
But hey who wants to
It’s nice right here
Thank you.

Told if we travel faster
Time in back Go
But hey who wants to
It’s nice right here
Thank you.
yes it's not only random but it's short too... I don't like being sick at all. and no that wasn't random at all. Okay maybe it was*sigh*.

Hospitals

yes it's the word. I really do hate hospitals and my father agrees with me here. They were made for sick people and yes I am that greatful that they do exist, but I hate it that people are that sick. It's not the people with common colds or mild feavers, those with headachs, slight nausia, or light scratches, but those who are ill, deathly ill who are there. This is ofcourse overlooking those who are pregnant or them that care for the sick. Go nurses, doctors, surgens, etc. we salute you :). But I still hate hospitals, nothing personal.
SO I've had cause to think on hospitals recently and was really scared so I wrote this poem and I do Not care if it's good or not or what. It's a poem. For hevean's sakes people, let the poem be. (see that cheered me up quite a bit.)

Drop of Eternity

deep drop of eternity
shed when souls are ripped in two
holding all the pain in the world
containing hopeless care

when no grey is held in the beholder's world
when all injustice is clear
stark against the white world
then such pure drops come

a drop of despair
a drop of mourning
a drop of intense joy
a drop of futility
all are as one in the drop of eternity

it comes when soul is lost
it comes when soul is found
it comes when pain is too much
it comes when there is no trust
it comes
it comes
it comes when one cares so much

a deep drop
a seen drop
an unnerving drop
brought forth when words fail
from the deep dark chambers of the soul

glistening
the soul is listening
to the hearts torment
and then these drops come.
I figure that yall know that I wrote this so I won't use up extra space on yall's screens. Something, by the by, that I don't agree with my dad about... Popcorn is not good for him but he keeps on eating it, a lot! Please , please look to eat what's good for you people, I really am begging you. Right now I'm virtually begging on my knees. By the way this will be one of the rare times that I'm begging. So feel important that I care enough to beg. Cheerio!

okay...and now for something compleatly different

Yes it is compleatly different and oh so random. I was quite hypper when I wrote this and I still not sure what to make of it. So be forewarned. Where did this poem come from?

Hush

hush, hush, hush
Don't cry
Don't scream
Don't try
hush, hush, hush
Don't laugh
Don't sing
Don't talk
hush, hush,hush
Don't jump
Don't dance
Don't run
hush
hush
hush
Be not as you are
Be as I want
Restrain your talents
your emotions
your desires
hush...
just hush...
And let yourself drift away
-C.W.

where? Yes I'm currently thinking 'out loud'.
well it's out in the big wide world now. I think at least it's something new to think about even if I wasn't thinking about anything when I wrote it.
