It's a birthday!!

Well it's been a while, hasn't it. At least I didn't forget about this blogg(it hasn't been THAT long, yet). So now just to randomly post something on my little sister's birthday(ya know, just to say I did), enjoy!

And What of a River?

A happy stream,
A laughing stream,
You always hear of a laughing stream!
But what of a river,
Does it scream?
Is it happy?
No it roars.

But never are you told
It is unhappy to be.
It roars in defiance,
In frustration,
At this negligence,
Of it’s feelings,
An injustice committed by the human race.

Then what do those humans do?
They breathe words of fluff,
Try to slink away,
And hide in their huge structures,
While out there in the trees, animals and sky laugh
At the frail human race.

The river lies forgotten,
With only the fish to
Eternally
Sing it’s praise.

All others, in times of need,
Ask the river for aid.
The poor river,
So lonely and misunderstood,
Has not the heart to turn them away,
But within it’s depths
So cold and still
It seethes.
Forever,
Remembering,
And waiting,
For the time,
To,
Take your life away.

Just Because

This is just because I love falcons. oh it's also here so I don't stay annoyed that I couldn't put a certain picture on this blog.
I tried and tried and triiiiiiiiiiiied some more...
arguh!!
Alright that's it, I'm really studying now.
toodles!

He He! Sneaking a break.

Yes a break from studying! I really don't think it'll hurt...
I'm not sure I have a fun little poem (I really couldn't post something too serious today). Hmmm...
how about:
Fun in The Rain
drip drop
drip drop
hop and skip around the clock
hip hop
hip hop
skipping stones,
watching frogs
as the rain...
drip drops
drip drop
catch a leaf off a branch
let's all see you do a kangaroo dance
as the rain...
drip drops
drip drop
plip plop
there's a new sound in the woods
so let's all
slip slop
slip slop
all around that little clock
giggle here
swivel there
oh look there it goes
a little squirrel dropping food
down
down
till..
plip plop.

and thank you, no it's not raining, again. Back to studying I go! :)

FINALS... ahhhh!

Saturday night.*sigh*. I wrote this one on the fly as the internet connection was being a pain. As such it's very optimistic. Boy am I getting good at popping poetry out! I hope ya'll like it. As I'm gonna be studying for finals I may not post anything for a week at most. *sigh*...

Dreams

Reaching to the unattainable
reaching for a star
reaching for the universe's end
reaching oh so far.

jumping from stage to stage
jumping where no one has before
jumping so rapidly
jumping with nothing to catch me if I fall.

laughing at sadness
laughing at fear
laughing at all my doubts
laughing at the world's scorn.

twirling because I can
twirling to see it all
twirling too fast to stop
twirling just afraid I'll drop.

knowing I can do it all
knowing it's all in my mind
knowing that if no one will I'll catch myself
knowing I can get up if I fall.

all right... here goes nothing.

Well it's a sunny Friday in sunny California! I promised poetry, well of course, so here ya go.

Waiting

Mountains upholding one in a cup of brilliance
From the height of darkness one does stand,
Staring upon an endless void…
Quiet broken by sounds of a distant sea.
Gazing up, counting stars, smiling all.

Race to the mountain side, “Did we miss it?”
Only 10 minutes to go.
Sighs of relief slowly joined
By silent wraiths who gaze upward too.
North, South, West, East.
Nothing yet.
But slowly, slowly
The darkness lifts
To show rolling clouds
To the left, “Where”
THERE!

Oh joy, yes there
An orb lifts ponderously above the brink of the world
Waves flash blue
Turning and, “Oh I love the colors.”
A hum here
A smile there
A cautioning voice
“Don’t look straight at it.”
A laugh awaken
A song stirred
Drawn up from the heart of one
The others unable to voice
The feeling down deep.

Snap, clap…
Sing
Oh, the wonder of the sun
The world awakens from long dreams
Waves seen
Wait…
t-t-t-t
Snake!
Down hillside
Fleet feet.
What did we run from, questions asked.
Memory glazed over by the rising sun.
