Israel
Today I've been thinking about alot but one thing that really was 'on the mind' was the approching move to israel that my neighbors are making. I've lived under them for ages. I wrote this poem for a friend of mine that also moved to israel, so it fits, maybe. Everyone goes to Israel!! I'm just sad that I'm not going yet.
Goodbyes
Lookin’ with longing out a window,
Clouds passing lazily by,
A tear falls from an eye that captures the star’s glory
A jewel’s blood that tear is
The blood the girl’s heart bleeds
In sorrow
Such sadness caused by a move she makes,
Away from friend of gold.
Watchin’ a clock
“She’s on the plane,”
Runnin’ out into the yard
Starein’ up at the sky
“I’ll miss you, my friend,
how much I can’t say.”
Hopin’, wishin’ that friend of old
Happiness
In that place across a sea
The sea made by the many tears
Shed by travelers long gone.
So where ever you be, my friend,
However many years have passed,
Know I think on you still.
I see your smile.
Your crumpled papers.
Nodding off, jumping around, frustrated to no end,
And I am happy that you are my friend.
