Polaroid

Shadows on the wall
in between light splashes
Shadows stretch and flicker
one two Three, one Two three, One two...
Count them
Step between to the worlds of light beyond
do shadows flicker black or white
are the light splashes black
Does a little girl watch white to black and something in between
See me

Oh by the by, I've just noticed that these posts are being marked as if I were posting at three AM. Sorry to disappoint, I may be a bit crazy, as we all are, but I'm not insane. I'm posting at one PM in Israel. I just didn't update my location. :) I hope that helps.

Wars in heaven and space

"Fire and brimstone"said the one
"Peace and serenity" said the other
And caught in between were the silent ones
And caught in between were the scoffers
And caught in between were the incredulous ones
And caught in between were the snorers
And caught in between was you
And caught in between was I

The walls of the room danced closer and closer
the yells increased, the sing song more pronounced
Fire-Peace
Brimstone-Serenity
And it becomes a beat behind your eyes
And all I could see was a blank brick wall
And the scoffers snickered
And the incredulous sighed
And the silent's eyes bounced back to the walls and down
Noticing the encroaching walls
To busy to care
And caught in between was you
And caught in between was I

And the snores increased
And you back bent to cradle your aching eyes
and I stared blank
stuck in our seats
As the great wars in heaven flew above our heads
And caught in between was you
And caught in between was I

To fend off the walls you join a camp
To fend off the walls I wield a pen
as the clock Ticks
the fire Licks by
the dead peace Beckons sickly
And caught i between was you
And caught in between was I
Until we said Enough!

Years

So it's been how long? Long enough to almost forget about this blog's existence but thanks to blogger and my creation of a new blog I remembered. The truth is that sad as though it may be I have not been writing as consistently or as much in these past two years. Therefore even if I had remembered I would have nothing to show for that past time, well not really. It's a good thing then that I've started writing once more because I actually do have a poem to share,or two, or three,hmmm....

"A drop of honey will not sweeten the ocean"

The world is full of much
It comes to kiss your hand
slap you in the face
all we can do is keep on buzzing

Tell me true
what is a drop of honey to you?
A Drop of care
A Drop of hope
A Drop of what?
tell me, why do we keep on buzzing?

The world tosses and turns you
on an updraft
a tempest
spinning so you lose sight of your Flower patch

Do you fold your wings
plummet to the unyielding ground?
Do you struggle against the wind
and all you go is backward

Do you dance with excitement
before your brothers?
or is all at the end of a long day
a mournful hum?

Tell me true
what is a drop of honey to you?
That which is hard earned
That which comes easy
A drop of what?
tell me, why do we keep on buzzing?

A Drop of honey may not sweeten the ocean
but a drop from each's hand will surely make it sickly sweet
A Drop of honey may not sweeten the ocean
but it sure does sweeten you
